The Hawaii BCA Pool League is a great way to meet people & have fun while competing against some of the best pool players in Hawaii. Currently serving the island of Oahu, we are a cash league which pays out the top 3 teams from every session rather than awarding a single prize to one team annually. In addition to playing for a cash prize, all BCA Pool League members are eligible to play in national tournaments such as the BCA Pool League World Championships & other BCA sponsored events. Our weekly 8-Ball League plays on Tuesday nights & 9-Ball League on Thursday nights. Hawaii BCA Pool League was acquired by Kurt Kobayashi in 2015, the first league session starting in Spring 2016. Since then, Kurt has worked tirelessly to build the pool community in Hawaii by promoting the league, running weekly tournaments, & even opening his own retail shop/pool club in downtown Honolulu, Kobayashi Billiards. His passion for pool drives him to constantly look for ways to encourage players old & new to get back into the game while adapting to changes in the local economy & pool industry.
In 2019, administrative duties were given to Lisa Uyema, who volunteered for the position to get more involved in the league. Her responsibilities include creating schedules, managing membership information, & logging league fee/membership payments. She also serves as a liaison between the League Operator & BCA members. Taking over the administrative responsibilities has allowed Kurt to concentrate on Kobayashi Billiards & continue to promote the game of pool in Hawaii.
